ISA Moves To Online Instruction March 16 - April 12

In light of the current COVID-19 situation, and following the example and recommendations of countless educational institutions across the state, the ISA is implementing the following policies beginning March 16 until April 12, at which time we will reevaluate based on the continually changing nature of the current health situation.  

Our priority is first and foremost the health of our students, families and faculty. It is our hope that by implementing the following policies which we know will create great inconveniences for a short time that we can more quickly return to our normal operations with a healthy faculty, healthy students, and a healthy larger community.  We thank everyone in advance for their understanding and incredible flexibility as we all try to figure out how to best navigate these uncharted waters.

ISA moves to online instruction through April 12

• The ISA will move exclusively to online instruction from March 16 - April 12 (this would mean two weeks of online/virtual instruction, and two weeks of regularly scheduled break)
• No in-person lessons or classes will occur during this time period
• Private instruction will follow the regular 2019-2020 Academic Calendar, and will be handled in a virtual manner with each private teacher handling virtual instruction and communication appropriate for the parent and child. At this time, the regular lesson schedule is still set to end on May 23 and the summer lessons to occur during May 24 - August 8. 
• Your teacher will reach out to you prior to your regularly scheduled lesson time this week to provide relevant details for your virtual instruction. 
• ISA will support teachers by giving them general ideas about how to structure digital instruction  (using FaceTime, Zoom, Skype), and providing instructional resources as needed

FAQ's - What can we expect during this time of online instruction?Our goal is to best serve our families and faculty and if any families have concerns about online lesson instruction, please direct them to myself and/or Sarah Beck.  We all recognize that this format is far from ideal, but it will allow the ISA to remain "open" while giving us all the social distancing we are being recommended to implement.  With any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will follow up as quickly as possible.
