Liz Efroymson-Brooks has been a cello faculty member of the Indianapolis Suzuki Academy for over 25 years. She has received training in Suzuki Cello Books 1-10, and also completed a Cello Practicum course at the Chicago Suzuki Institute. Ms. Liz holds a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, and a Master of Music in Cello Performance from Butler University School of Music in Indianapolis.
Ms. Liz has also been a cello instructor with the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, the Broad Ripple School of the Performing Arts, and the Zionsville Interactive Academy. She is an active freelance performer with the Village Quartet, local orchestras and other ensembles. She also composes both classical and pop music.
Ms. Liz's two adult children, Alex and Anna, also play cello. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband, James Brooks.
