Suzuki Parent Discussions - Spring 2025

We are offering two parent discussion topics this semester. You are welcome to attend one or both sessions. The discussion sessions will occur during group classes. There is no sign-up. 

Motivation in Practice
WHEN: During Group Classes January 18-22
​We will be exploring “The Music Teacher’s Little Guide to Big Motivation” by Ruth Meints, exploring 8 motivation styles.

Neuroscience and Practice
WHEN: Harp: Feb 8 Group Class
Cello/Violin: Feb 18/19 Group Classes
Piano: Feb 18 @ 8 PM Online 
We will listen to part of a podcast with Dr. Molly Gebrian on “What Musicians Can Learn About Practice from Current Brain Research” and discuss how to apply the concepts that she discusses to practice.

New Suzuki Parents - Spring 2025

This series of three sessions is designed for new Suzuki parents to equip you as practice partners and is an opportunity to connect with other parents at ISA.

Parent Advisory Council

Beginning this year, this council will meet with the Executive Director quarterly to provide valuable feedback from the parent's perspective. They will host parent and student social events.
