Leah FeinInterim Piano Faculty
|
Leah Fein has been teaching piano for more than thirty years, helping students discover a lifelong love of music, whether pursued professionally or simply as part of a well-rounded life.
She holds a Master of Music Education from Vandercook College of Music in Chicago and a bachelor's degree in Music Education, English Education, and Elementary Education. In addition to private piano instruction, she has taught general music, choir, and band in public and private schools in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Leah specializes in beginning piano instruction for students of all ages. Her background in music, education, language development, and literacy has given her a particular interest in how the brain acquires language (including music) and learns to decode its symbols—to read and write it. As a lifelong learner, she is currently pursuing Suzuki training to further understand how students learn music most naturally and successfully. |
